Plus and Coop: analysis to divest stores to merge

The announced merger between Coop and Plus is creating a bigger “game of musical chairs” in the supermarket landscape than just in the 12 market areas designated by the ACM.
Meanwhile, Dirk has announced the acquisition of two Coop stores in Rotterdam and it is expected that more Coop or Plus stores will enter the market in the coming period.
